a curated wedding showcase

Midsummer Mehfi

07.12.2026

A collaboration between Brownstone Gardens, Enamored Events, Evotique and Home in Stone Events

A first-of-its-kind, immersive bridal showcase for Northern California’s South Asian wedding community.

Midsummer Mehfil was created as a first-of-its-kind bridal showcase for the Northern California South Asian wedding community - designed to be experienced, rather than simply walked through.

As a co-host, Home In Stone helped shape the guest experience alongside our fellow hosts, vendors, and sponsors. We wanted to move away from the traditional bridal fair model, where brides are moved from booth to booth and primarily marketed to. Instead, we created an environment where couples could experience the possibilities for their own celebrations firsthand.

Guests could sample light bites from catering companies they might ultimately hire, experience henna from some of the region’s top mehndi artists, and explore different beverage and dessert concepts. They could discover elevated additions they might incorporate into their own events, while also experiencing interactive activations from a mobile scent bar to luxury car rentals and other experiential offerings.

The idea was simple: don’t just tell couples what you can provide - let them experience it.

We also designed the showcase to be highly interactive. A live panel segment invited guests to submit questions directly from the crowd, creating an honest conversation with wedding industry professionals around the topics couples actually care about when planning their celebrations.

To further build excitement and engagement, Home In Stone helped organize the logistics of a large-scale vendor raffle featuring contributions from more than 30 participating vendor sponsors. Beyond being a fun guest experience, the raffle gave participating businesses another way to connect with attendees and showcase what they offer.

Every element was intentionally designed to make Midsummer Mehfil feel less like a sales floor and more like a preview of the wedding experience itself. Guests could taste, try, discover, ask questions, and envision how different elements could come together for their own celebrations.

For Home In Stone, our role as a co-host was about bringing an experience-first perspective to the collaboration—thinking strategically about guest engagement, programming, logistics, and how vendors could be integrated into a cohesive experience without losing what made each of them unique.

Midsummer Mehfil demonstrated what becomes possible when a bridal showcase is treated not simply as a marketing opportunity, but as an experience in its own right.

Less “come see our vendors.” More “come experience what your wedding could feel like.”

I really enjoyed how each space was utilized. It felt so collaborative and made each part of the venue really stick out to me.

HIS HIGHLIGHTS

Being able to connect with vendors, brides, and put a face behind the names who are so familiar and dear to us. The event overall was just such a success, even running into upcoming brides where they have a face to who their vendor will be!

Meeting all the sweet vendors and the hosts! Thank you for the opportunity! I love how you were inclusive of all vendors, whether they were guests or sponsors. This really fostered an open and amicable event!

HIS Moments

For us, event planning is in the details, especially the ones people don’t necessarily notice, but definitely feel.

For Midsummer Mehfil, we wanted to create an experience that felt thoughtful not just for the couples, but for the vendors, sponsors, hosts, and everyone who helped bring the day to life.

For the vendor mixer, we created Networking Bingo to make it easier (and a little more fun!) for vendors to meet one another, start conversations, and make new connections.

We also put together goody bags for the entire vendor team, filled with a mix of practical event-day essentials and fun little touches. The logistical things you might need in the middle of a long day — plus a few things you didn't know you needed. Yes, there were Tic Tacs. We think the little things matter.

Even the name tags were intentional. We identified each guest by their role: Vendor Sponsor, Bride, Groom, Hype Team, Host, or Vendor Guest making it easier to know who was who and who you might want to connect with throughout the event.

And we wanted to make sure our vendor partners had something to take away from the event, too.

We brought on multiple media teams to capture the day from different perspectives and intentionally created opportunities for our vendors to receive professional headshots, polished imagery of their setups, and event content they could use for their own businesses and portfolios.

Because to us, being a good planning partner means looking beyond the run of the show.

It’s asking: Who is in the room? What do they need? What would make their experience better? And what can we do before they even think to ask?

That’s the HIS Touch: the thoughtful details, the extra layer of care, and the behind-the-scenes work that helps an event feel effortless.
